Digital Cameras are fast becoming a regular household item. Even avid photographers are either switching to digital entirely, or adding a digital camera to their kit.

Though Digital Photography is much like "film" photography in many ways, it also differs greatly in other ways. The "Digital Photography 101" class is designed to give you a running start with this new and exciting medium.

We'll start at the beginning with taking the photos, some "do's and don'ts" of digital capture including...

  • Resolution settings - setting the camera for the best print or final output
  • White balance - how to control some of those funny colour casts
  • Exposure - getting the best exposure in your digital capture

What about file management? Once the photos are taken, we need to address some other issues...

  • File Transfer - The best way to get the images off the camera
  • Organizing - keeping your images organized
  • Storage - storing the images
  • Enhancing the images - some quick tips on improving and or correcting images with various types of software.
  • Printing - getting the best results from your own printer or having a lab do you printing
  • Sharing - how to share your images with friends and family through e-mail, CD albums and slide shows.

We'll cover all this and more with slides and demonstrations in an interactive class room/studio environment.
